Because luxury is not just how it looks, it’s how it feels.
WIGUP SYNTHETIC HAIR CARE & MAINTENANCE
DETANGLING
Handle with care. Use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb only. Always start from the ends and work your way up.
HEAT STYLING
Yes, our synthetic hair and wigs are heat-friendly, but only a little.
- Minimum heat: 120°C / 248°F
- Maximum heat: 150°C / 302°F
NEVER exceed this range. Always test on a small section first.
WASHING
After 8-15 wears, it’s time for a refresh.
- Detangle gently, starting from the ends.
- Submerge in lukewarm water with sulfate-free, synthetic-safe shampoo. Gently swirl, no rubbing or scrubbing.
- Rinse with cool running water, always in the direction of the hair.
- Apply a synthetic-safe conditioner, focusing on the ends. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Rinse with cool water.
- Blot dry with a towel, no wringing and then lay flat to air dry completely.
STORING
When hair piece or wig is not in use, place into satin or silk pouch provided. Your crown will thank you later.
WIGUP HUMAN HAIR CARE & MAINTENANCE
DETANGLING
Always start from the ends, gently working your way up using a wide‑tooth comb or a human-hair-safe wig brush. Use your fingers first to gently remove surface knots, keep it smooth and minimal.
WASHING ROUTINE
Every 7–10 wears, or sooner if product or sweat builds up.
- Prep: Gently brush, then secure the wig on a stand or block.
- Shampoo: Rinse with lukewarm water, apply a gentle sulfate-free or organic shampoo in a downward motion, no scrubbing.
- Condition: Focus on mid-lengths to ends, not roots. Leave for 1–5 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
DEEP CONDITIONING
- Every 2 weeks, apply a deep conditioning mask or heat‑activated treatment to replenish moisture.
- Follow with a hydrating serum on damp strands to mimic natural scalp oils.
- Frequent sun exposure? Use a UV-protectant leave-in.
DRYING TECHNIQUE
- Blot gently, no wringing.
- Air‑dry on a wig stand or mannequin to maintain shape and ensure airflow.
- If blow-drying, use low heat or cool settings with a heat protectant.
HEAT STYLING
- Human hair wigs can handle heat, but less is more.
- Keep tools under 175°C / 350°F and always use a heat protectant.
- Prefer heatless styling (flexi rods, rollers) for longer-lasting health and shine.
PRODUCTS TO USE & AVOID
Use: Sulfate-free, alcohol-free, lightweight, hydrating formulas.
Avoid: Heavy oils, sticky stylers, and product overload—these lead to buildup and shorten longevity.
STORAGE & PROTECTION
Short-term: Store on a wig stand. Keep out of direct sun.
Long-term: Clean, dry, brush gently, and store in your WIGUP satin pouch in a cool, dry space.
Glued wigs:
- Wrap edges with a satin band and cover with a silk/satin bonnet at night.
- Detangle gently before bed. Never sleep with damp hair.
Glue-less wigs:
- Always remove before sleeping or showering. Store appropriately to preserve quality.
NATURAL HAIR & SCALP MAINTENANCE
- Wear a wig cap to protect your scalp and provide a smooth base.
- Cleanse, moisturise, and care for your natural hair and scalp regularly.
- Adjust straps and combs often to prevent tension or friction-based hair loss.
